You can participate in the Nagoya Women’s Online Marathon 2020 anytime, anywhere you like. There are various ways of how to run your race from completing the full distance at once like an offline race to dividing the distance over a few days. Please enjoy running and reach your goal on your own pace.

Event Period

From 13:00 on Sunday, March 8 (Japan time) to 23:59:59 on Sunday, May 31 (Japan time)
*In consideration of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus and differences in local climates across Japan and the world, we decided to extend the event period until May 31. Please choose a safe and secure environment and timing in your area when you participate in the program.

Eligible Participants

Registered participants of the Nagoya Women’s Marathon 2020 General Category (including general entry, entry and accommodation package, charity entry, heart support entry, challenge entry, overseas entry, and etc.)

Finisher Items

Those who have reported their completion of a marathon in one of the options below will receive the exclusive pendant of the Nagoya Women’s Marathon 2020 and other finisher items and be issued an online certificate of completion. They will also be granted access to a special website that commemorates marathon completion with exclusive contents that only finishers can see.
*Finisher items will be sent by mail after June 2020.

How to Participate

Please run a distance of marathon (42.195 km) in one of the ways described below.
*Please read the Terms of Participation carefully before participating in the program.
*Each type of participation requires a different app or other tool.

The Online Marathon Mode of Joyrun app is for those who want to run the full distance continuously. You can take a break (pause your race) for a total maximum of 120 minutes, but be careful that your race finishes as soon as the break exceeds 120 minutes. Note that the app will automatically pause your race if it does not detect any movement for a while.
	
Number of Attempts
As many as you like
You can reset your race and start over at any time. You started your race on the Online Marathon Mode but now you change your mind and want to divide it? Sure, you can switch your running mode to the Challenge Mode at any time!

24 hours (From 23:41-23:40 next day in Japan time) *Race finishes when your break reaches 120 minutes.
The Challenge Mode of Joyrun app is for those who want to run the distance of marathon in four batches (four 10.55km races over four days). You can take a break (pause your race) for a total maximum of 120 minutes at each race, but be careful that your race will finishes as soon as the break exceeds 120 minutes. Note that the app will automatically pause your race if it does not detect any movement for a while. The counter of break times will be reset and start over each time, so you can take a maximum of 120 minutes break per each 10.55km race.
Number of Attempts
Once a day (10.55km/day x 4 days)
You can run the divided races either in consecutive days or non-consecutive days! The Challenge Mode allows you to complete the marathon in a more relaxed way as you only need to run a 10.55km a day. Please note that it does not let you run more than one race a day (In other words, you cannot run a half marathon distance in one day).
*Each day starts and resets at 23:40 (Japan time). Please be careful if a race spreads across two days (before and after 23:40 in Japan time), your race automatically finishes as soon as it reaches 23:40 (Japan time). 
*Once you select the Challenge Mode, you cannot start over your races or switch to the Online Marathon Mode until you complete all four races.

Nagoya Women’s Online Marathon 2020 Terms of Participation

(Please read the following Terms of Participation carefully as you must accept them when registering to participate in our online marathon.)
1.	This event is not a race to compete for time. Run on your pace and do not try too hard.
2.	Follow traffic lights and all applicable traffic regulations including Road Traffic Act.
3.	To prevent the spread of infections of the novel coronavirus, avoid gathering together in a large group or running crowded areas such as downtown streets.
4.	For your safety, run inside athletic parks or riverside running trails as much as possible.
5.	Do not obstruct traffic or disturb public order.
6.	Portrait rights and rights to publish videos, photographs, articles and records during this event as well as participants’ names, portraits, ages and addresses (name of country, prefecture or city/ward/town/village) in TV, newspapers, magazines, websites, and etc. belong to Organizer.
7.	Organizer will not be held responsible for any injury, sickness, loss of personal belongings or accident during this event.
8.	Accident insurance of Organizer will not cover this event.
9.	Organizer will handle the personal information of participants in accordance with the laws and regulations related to personal information protection. Participants of this event are deemed to have agreed that their personal information will be used for notification of records and related information, provision of service from event sponsors, supporters and concerned organizations, publication of results, and etc. for the purpose of improving the quality of service.
10.	This event will be conducted in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
